Rosenkrantz, Erik Axelsen, 1516-91, to Landting, Glimminge and Ørup mm, was the son of Axel Nielsen Rosenkrantz to Stensballegaard, Landting and Rydhave and Mrs. Berete Knob, born 4 Maj 1516th His youth he seems to have spent in Germany, for it is probably him and not his contemporaries Names Erik (Ottesen) Rosenkrantz (d. 1575) as 'from his youth' had served at the well-known Elector John of Saxony Hof, after his Death (1532) in his Son Elector John Frederick's chamber and later with his brother-Duke Ernst of Brunswick-Luneburg.
